Apostle Thomas
"The Faithful Zealot"

The Apostle Thomas is one of the original disciples of Yahshua . He was selected in the beginning as one of the twelve apostles that would later be sent to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of Yahovah*God. In the history of Christianity he has been reviled as a weak servant and blasphemed with the epithet “Doubting.” In Yahwayism, he is a courageous individual who solidified his standing in history as the one who sealed the legitimacy of Yahshua in the minds of believers and unbelievers as the resurrected Messiah. Also this event provided evidence that eternal life is not only spiritual but also physical.

Mk 10:3         Thomas one of original twelve. Also Lk 6:15, Mk 3:18.

Jn 14:3-6       Thomas asks how can we know the way? He said this after Yahshua exclaimed that he was leaving to prepare a place for them
                        in heaven. By Thomas’s statement he shows commitment by desiring to know the answer.

Lk 24:33         All eleven apostles were gathered together at Jerusalem (Yahrusalam). Also Jn 20:19

Jn 20:24-26   These scriptures were added by deceivers because it contradicts Lk 24:33 and Jn20:19. It was not one week later, it was the
                        same event.

Lk 24:36         Yahshua the Messiah appeared before them. Also Jn 20:19

Lk 24:37         The Apostles assume that Yahshua was a ghost.

Lk 24:38         Thoughts arose among them that questioned his resurrection.

Jn 20:25         The Apostle Thomas demands evidence of the Messiah’s resurrection through physical examination.

Jn 20:27         The Messiah accepts this challenge by Thomas and offers his wounds as evidence.

Lk 24:39-40   Yahshua offered up his physical body as evidence. Also Jn 20:20

Lk 24:41         The rest of the apostles still did not believe because they did not touch his body.

Jn 20:27          Yahshua the Messiah said “be not faithless but believe.” In Greek it is “Mehv (not) Ginomai (to be, exist) Apistos
                         (unbelieving, faithless) Alla (but) Pistos (to believe, faithful). This response can be rendered as “exist not in unbelief but
                         believe” or “dwell not in non acceptance but in acceptance.” The Messiah was not questioning Thomas’s loyalty by saying
                         this to him. If Thomas had any doubts about the Messiah’s legitimacy he would not have been his disciple long enough to
                         witness these events.

Jn 11:16          Thomas the loyal zealot.

Jn 20:28          The Apostle Thomas followed through with his examine as he demanded after which he exclaimed my master-my god (El).
                         This sentence in the Greek language starts off with the word “Apokainomai” which means to answer or to render a verdict.

The Messiah did not condemn Thomas for questioning his resurrection. In the law of Moses evidence must be present for judgment to be rendered. Out of fear none of the other apostles dared to step forward and ask for solid proof. It was ordained from above that this event should happen so that it would be recorded for future generations as evidence for building faith.

Jn 20:29           Yahshua responded to Thomas saying because you have seen me, you have believed. The Greek word for seen is “Horao”                           which means “see, to perceive, to examine,” It is slightly different from the other Greek word meaning to look or to see which is                           “Optanomai.” So this sentence should read “because you have examined me, you have believed.”

Jn 20:29           Blessed are those who have not seen (Eido-observed/known), and believe. This is not a statement to create a special class of                           people who just believe without evidence but a blessing upon those who accept the testimony of the Apostle Thomas. This                           testimony is based on concrete physical evidence that the Messiah rose from the dead. In other words without this being in                           scriptures one can assume that everyone was just witnessing an apparition. Solid proof is what creates faith not fantasy.

Jn 20:31           Scripture is the testimony that creates the building blocks of our faith.

Jn 20:30           “There is more evidence that has not been written down for us.” There are more events like miraculous signs that were not
                           recorded which means only that the most important of them were written down. This goes to show the importance of the                            contribution of the Apostle Thomas to the faith of Yahwayism.
